Inverroche Verdant Gin Review

Inverroche Gin

I couldn’t resist writing about this lovely South African gin after an encounter when out for a pub lunch today with my family.

The spirit has a subtle green hue and had quite a floral (elderflower?) aroma.  I’m not a massive fan of gins with colours, and was hugely relieved that when mixed with Fever Tree light tonic water the tint vanished into the mixer.

It was a really refreshing gin and tonic to drink, I liked the juniper, and the hint of licorice gave it an interesting dimension.  I’d be interested to try this in cocktails – perhaps a John Collins?

A lovely gin – well worth grabbing a bottle if you see it. Vera Gin Rating : 7.5/10

It costs about £40 a bottle.  The only decent UK stockist I could find online was Museum Wines.
