Cotswold Dry Gin Review – “Makes a Thrilling Martini”

17333815_259897017803982_3352425779316129792_n(1)Cotswolds Dry Gin has to get a mention as this particular gin distillery is the closest one to my house.

This is a traditional London Dry Gin made with Cotswolds water and nine botanicals – juniper, coriander, angelica root, lavender, bay leaf, grapefruit, lime, black pepper and cardamom seed.

Cotswold Dry Gin greets you with a fresh, clean grapefruit nose, with some florals and pepper lurking gently in the shadows.  On drinking you’re greeted with more lovely fresh grapefruit, bright juniper – the spices balance the finish.

This gin when mixed can become slightly opaque which makes a thrilling (and very tasty) martini.  As a G&T we paired it with pink grapefruit which works very well.

Cotswold Dry Gin is an excellent all rounder – this gin makes a delicious cocktails and lovely clean G&Ts.  Vera Gin Verdict – 8/10.

Cotswolds Dry Gin is widely available, it costs £34.95 for 70cl – you can buy directly from the Distillery.
